I feel I have to write this to get this out my system.So my husband works for himself and I work part time.Now we do ok,we don’t go out much socialising,we don’t drink smoke or take drugs,we don’t have to buy designer or latest fashions and gadgets…we save.Now some people think they have an entitlement to have a bit of stuff because they think all my husband does is sit there as a business owner…press a button and money comes from a money tree in our garden.They don’t see the hard work 7 days a week.So far it’s been hinted that we should pay for someone else’s debts that they’ve run up by buying lots of things by spending above their means.Ive been asked to pay for someone else to come on holiday with us.Ive been told to give my new winter coat to someone else as they can’t afford one because they don’t work (they choose not to work as a lifestyle choice not because they can’t work).I’ve been told why don’t I move and buy this house instead which was 300 thousand over our budget.People have no idea of the concept of prices and costs.Why should we work hard for ourselves and children but pay for other family’s coats,holidays,debt.No one owes you nothing in life 😡

Finding a job that doesn’t lie

How hard is it to find a job that says your job role,what days you’ll be working and times in the interview and stick to it with no bullshit down the line? I mean you accept the job based on what they’re advertising and telling you in the interview for god sake…

So far I’ve worked at a business and I’ve ended up working every weekend instead of every other weekend because it was short staffed but weren’t hiring anyone else,it’s randomly handed me a huge folder wanting me to train to be something that is most definitely not in the job I applied for.

The job I’m in now changes the days and times every week and adds extra time on (no overtime) thinking I won’t notice,when I applied it was for set days times and now it’s all over the place,my brain can’t take it,I need structure in my life.Now I’m looking again but if there is something that turns up will that change too??

So many people presume what they think you must think,what they do you must be doing,their beliefs are your beliefs,”idiots”

There’s people I know who borrow money off family members knowing they can’t afford to give it themselves and presume I must be doing the same because I go on holidays etc,errrrr no I work and save,I don’t borrow and don’t have a money tree,if I can’t afford something I don’t have it,I don’t like to borrow.

Then there’s the ones who complain about their husbands and children and then the silence waiting for you to speak about yours,again no I won’t bad mouth my family I have no complaints,even if I did I wouldn’t speak behind their backs.

Then there’s the racists and homophobic moron’s who think it’s ok to make racial slurs and homophobic remarks,not ok at all

I don’t think like you,I don’t have the same values as you,I don’t act like you…

England Vs America

This is from my own personal experience of customer service in the U.S.

I absolutely love America and all things American but omg seriously….

I find the customer service skills here in the U.S absolutely shocking,I’m talking about the workers in fast food, the 7 11’s,circle k and other gas stations,apart from Wawa, Wawa’s good.

There’s no greeting no smile no rush to come over to serve you and just miserable grunts and Huff’s like your bothering them by wanting to be served and them doing the job they’re paid to do,I’m sure there’s a few with good customer service skills but not any I’ve encountered,they’ve all had massive chips on their shoulders

What do you want!!!

In the UK sure there’s people with shitty customer service skills but mainly they’re friendly,they smile have a chat even if they aren’t feeling it they put on a front.

I actually walked away from Wendy’s the other day,I was the only one in the queue and the server saw me never acknowledged me,I waited and waited until I thought sod this and walked out.

Although I have to say the waiter/waitress service is excellent,never had an unfriendly server.

The driving though….wtf is that all about? Cars won’t let you switch lanes even if there’s a red light approaching and there’s knowhere for them to go,they would rather speed up and not let you They drive up your arse and leave no safe distance between you,any gap between cars they want to get in that gap,there never seems to be use of an indicator either,And what is the constant honking for especially in New York,they honk the horn for what seems no reason whatsoever,and L.A omg they drive really aggressive over there.

Log burners,cosy jumpers,blankets,hot chocolates….

Autumn has arrived,I opened my door this morning and I felt the chill and the smell of autumn in the air.

My favourite season is actually summer,autumn being my second,but when it’s here I love it.

Leafy walks with my dog,the log burner will eventually be turned on,I can get in my PJs earlier, pumpkin spice,hot chocolates and wearing your warmer clothes as if they’re new as you’ve not seen them for a while.

Not forgetting more home cooked warm meals,stews,cottage pies…

And then the Christmas food markets and events that come around.Hoping to get to a couple of them from around where I live and then head down to London for the Hyde park winter wonderland and get in the Christmas mood 🤪🎄🎅

Has anyone else got that certain person or so called friend who never likes one of your Facebook or Instagram posts or photos?

Have you got friends who follow you on Facebook or Instagram or both but they never ever like anything you post but you know they’ve seen it.Why follow?? But on the other hand they will like and comment on a similar post to your own on an acquaintance post or someone they barely know!But like and comment if you write or post something negative

I personally prefer Instagram over facebook and Im not in it for the likes I just like to take photos and post them,my life,I also like to post things I find funny and agree with.

Seriously though why follow?

I follow people I like whether I know them or not and will like their posts.

There’s always that 1 though isn’t there.

Have you ever been asked something so personal that it just throws you for a second?even worse when it’s asked by someone you barely know or just a total stranger!!

Number 1.. How much money do you earn? … seriously 👃 that’s no one else’s business

Number 2…. When someone asks someone without children when are you going to have children?why haven’t you or why don’t you want them…..again seriously 👃 You don’t know if they can’t have children or don’t want them or just aren’t ready.

Number 3….. When are you getting married? This question used to annoy the shit out of me,Me and my now husband were together 19 years before we got married,we never felt a mad rush or need to get married and we certainly wasn’t going to do it just to please others,in the end we went to Las Vegas with our 2 children,no fuss or hassle it was bliss.

Number 4…..what size are you,what do you weigh?…..Why does that matter??

Number 5…. Why didn’t you go to college/uni?

Number 6….Why don’t you believe in God???…..or why do you believe in God?…..why did you vote for …….this party in the election? Why didn’t you vote for …..this party?

Banana bread recipe

Here is my favourite banana bread recipe….

140g butter

140g caster sugar

140g self raising flour

2 ripe bananas

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon of peanut butter

Sprinkling of nutmeg

I’ve also added chocolate chips,chopped nuts before,you can basically add whatever extras you want to.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees

Mix all ingredients together and put in a loaf tin lined with baking paper and bake for 40 minutes.

My take on Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits

In may of this year we visited red lobster in Naples Florida,it was our first time and omg the cheddar bay biscuits are amazing.I had heard you could pick up a red lobster cheddar bay mix at Walmart or somewhere similar but I couldn’t find one so now I’m back home I’ve made them myself by searching on Google and Pinterest for recipes so here’s what I use ….

2 cups of plain flour

1 and 1/3 cup of grated mature cheese

1 tablespoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

2 tablespoons of parsley

3/4 cup of milk

1/2 teaspoon of salt

A bit of pepper

A little pinch of chilli flakes

1 egg

1/3 cup of butter

Preheat oven to 400f

Mix it all together and then get a bit and roll it in a ball shape and flatten down a touch,add a little bit of flour if it’s too gooey to hold,place on a baking tray covered with baking paper.

Cook in the oven for about 15 minutes.

Brush with melted butter.
